Weekend plans?

Hello.

How are you doing? How was your week?

My week was pretty cr*p... :-( but well, like isn't always pink.

In any case, a few good things did happened, and I will be talking about them in future posts.

For now I will just let you with one of my plans for this weekend: the "Amsterdam: made by hand" book launch, this saturday at the abc store in Amsterdam.

Pia Jane Bijkerk is an internationally acclaimed stylist, photographer and author specializing in interiors, still life and food (to quote the abc).

Her book is like a tour of Amsterdam's specialized shops in handmade goods and supplies.

If you are in Amsterdam I might see you there, otherwise I will be talking about the book later on, once I've purchased ;-)

Como vcs estão? Como foi a semana de vcs?

A minha não foi lá essas coisas... :-( mas tudo bem, a vida não é sempre um mar de brigadeiros.

De qualquer maneira, algumas coisas salvaram a semana de uma falha total e eu estarei comentando sobre tais acontecimentos logo em breve com vcs.

Por agora, eu vou apenas dividir um dos meus planos para este final de semana: o lançamento do livro "Amsterdam: made by hand" (Amsterdam: feito à mão), esse sábado, na abc de Amsterdam.

Pia Jane Bijkerk é uma estilista, fotógrafa e autora, internacionalmente conhecida, especializada em interiores, still life (porquê eu não consigo me lembrar de como nós denominamos still life em português) e comida.

Este livro é um tour pelas lojas de Amsterdam, especializadas em artifatos feitos à mãe e suplementos.

Se vc está em Amsterdam, talvez nos encontremos por lá, caso contrário, logo em breve estarei dividindo aqui com vcs minhas idéias sobre o novo livro ;-)

This saturday we went out to buy some fish and meat at the street market and to look for some decor inspiration around the interior style stores (more about it later).

But the weather was sooo bad, it rained so much... Luck me there was this stand by the market selling this gorgeous umbrella (which I was already in a lust for for years)!

Esse sábado nós fomos dar uma voltinha na feira para comprar peixe e carne e tb, quem sabe, um pouco de inspiração para a decoração da casa nas lojas de decoração (mais sobre esse assunto depois).

Mas o tempo estava tão ruin, choveu tanto... Para a minha sorte havia uma barraquinha vendendo esse lindo guarda-chuva (o qual eu já estava de olho fazem anos)!

Yesterday I went to have lunch at the Amsterdam Central Station, since I was there on my way from the ind office (getting a new resident permit... well, enough of my life, I was there!) and decided to try on this new place (brand new for me, but up there since end of last year, I think) that my husband tried on while I was in Brazil.

Well, I LOVED the place! (and the food!)
Is like an italian fast food place. Can it get any better?
They have freshly made pasta in about five different sauces as choice. It is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.

So, if you are passing through the Amsterdam Central, here goes the tip ;-) Try it out, you won't regret it! (plus, I find it soooo cute their little box :-) )

Só o título vem em holandês :-P

Ontem eu estava de passagem pela estação Central de Amsterdam (depois de buscar minha nova identidade) e resolvi almoçar por lá mesmo, em um restaurante novo (ou relativamente novo, já que eu acho que ele está lá desde o final do ano passado) que meu marido me indicou.

Eu AMEI o lugar! (e a comida!)

É tipo um fastfood italiano... Perfeito!

A comida é fresquinha e feita na hora, com uma escolha de 5 molhos diferentes. Perfeito para um almoço ou jantar rápido.

Se vc estiver de passada pela estação Central de Amsterda,, fica aí a dica ;-) Experimente, vc não vai se arrepender! (e no mais... eu adorei a caixinha fofo na qual vem a comida ;-) )

Queen's Day!

biking my way through ams...

And so I am biking!

Yeah, that's right! And more and more I am enjoying as less and less I am complaining.

Sure, I still don't like the fact that the wind blows this strong and I have to "fight" to get anywhere... Also, I don't like the fact that bugs can come inside my eyes (yeah... really inside my eyes... this in fact did happen this week with me!!! awful experience, even worse from the experience of feeling a bee hitting my face, two weeks ago... I need glasses!!!!) ...
... but better not complain so much about bugs, if they are out, hitting my face and my eyes while I am happily biking, this is a sign that we do have nice and good weather (not as warm as I've wished, but good enough! ;-) )

Plus... after using buses to go to the center and tried it out with the bike, I have to admit: the freedom is amazing!

Freedom: is never have to wait for the next bus!!! ;-)

I can just leave at any time!!!

Ah... the joys of biking in the middle of the night... with no cars at all to share the street with you!

Yeah... I love bike, I have to admit!

Anyway... those are in fact, a bit of old news... since I am biking for some months now... the reason that I am posting it here now, is that I have a new bike! More like me! ;-)
